Traditionally, Nyan Cat is based off of a drawing inspired by Chris Torres' Russian blue cat, Marty, which as of November 2012, died from feline infectious peritonitis. He is the 1st, and only available opponent for his own week consisting of 2 songs, a remix of his well-known track named Nyan in the mod, and a custom song titled Nyanstep. Nyan Cat, also rarely referred to as Pop Tart Cat, is an 8-bit animation depicting a gray cat with the body of a cherry Pop-Tart flying through outer space. It is set to release on the same day the demo was made public last year from then.

Initially, the details were not intended to be revealed, but it was hinted it had to do with the development team, and because of this, the mod was temporarily privated on Gamebanana and moved to Gamejolt by CinderAshMaker. A month later after demo release, however, were met with issues. posted more mod related images onto his community board along with more teasers. In under 2 weeks, the mod reached a total of 10,000 downloads. As of the 22nd of October 2021, the mod has fully released their demo.

As of that period, various teasers in regards to both the full release and the demo were posted on Nathan's community, displaying various previews and development updates. An updated version of the concept was upload on the 24th of August, 2021, reaching a total of 102k+ views as of the 11th of March, 2022. 3 months later, Nathan announced that he will be working on a Nyan Cat mod above a post featuring a mod concept made by Adriozer.
